ECONOMIC SECURITY OF RUSSIA: CURRENT RISKS AND LONG-TERM PRIORITIES (BASED ON THE CONFERENCE PROCEEDINGS «VIII SENCHAGOV READINGS»)

Abstract

The article presents the main guidelines and results of the scientific discussions that unfolded during the event held in April 2024 (Russian Federation, Moscow, IE RAS) – the VIII All-Russian scientific and practical conference of scientists, specialists, university professors and postgraduate students, dedicated to the legacy of the Honored Economist of Russia, Doctor of Economics, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences V.K. Senchagov. The presented material reflects the process of opinions development and formation in the scientific community of new directions of theoretical and organizational-practical research of the economic security of Russia and its regions. The main focus of the conference was the discussion of the problems of economic security of Russia: long-term priorities and modern risks of socio-economic development within the framework of the following discussion areas: strategic priorities of national security of modern Russia in economic and social aspects; economic security institutions: evolution of tasks, functions, management mechanisms; – economy under sanctions and partial economic mobilization through the prism of economic security; new benchmarks for economic security in Russian regions. The broad and active participation of the scientific community (researchers from 29 cities of Russia and the Republic of Belarus, 56 state universities, academies, institutes and organizations attended the forum), the seriousness and significance of the presented research results confirmed the role and importance of economic security as the core of the country’s overall national security system, a tool for diagnosing and analyzing the state of the economic system in the face of challenges, threats and risks in the development of modern Russian society.
