IMPACT OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC ON THE FORMATION OF LABOR MARKETS IN RUSSIA AND THE EU COUNTRIES

Abstract

The paper considers and systematizes mechanisms of pandemic shock influence on the labor markets in recipient and donor countries, identifies factors shrinking Russian and European labor markets and provides a comparative assessment of opportunities to restruct them. A brief historical analysis of the evolution of the migration theory enables to actualize current problems of the impacts of mass labor migration in the recipient countries.

Keywords: reimmigration, the waiting and recovery phase, a new wave of immigration, the boundaries of the labor market of foreign labor.
